Casting News! Ben's got a variety of appearances coming up!

May 6 & 7 - Ben will debut a new solo cabaret, "Diary of An Almost Grown-Up". It will be an fun and funny evening of fresh, new songs and inventive, new takes on some familiar tunes. Justin Smolik music directs and friends, Taylor Pietz and Paul Cereghino, will stop by for a few songs. Tickets and info can be found by clicking here .

May 12-15 - "The Rooming House Plays" as part of the inaugural Tennessee Williams Festival. Four short Williams one-acts are performed simultaneously in various rooms of a beautiful, grand mansion. The audience moves from room to room and sees each play in it's entirety. Very limited tickets! Tickets and info can be found by clicking here .

July 5-11 - "The Music Man" at The Muny. You can see Ben as Oliver Hix, the baritone of the barbershop quartet. Tickets and info can be found by clicking here .

Aug 20-Sept 18 - "The Caine Mutiny Court Martial" and "Million Dollar Quartet" at Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre. Ben will appear as Junior Officer, Thomas Keefer in Caine Mutiny and as Sam Phillips in Million Dollar. Arrow Rock is a tiny, picturesque town just west of Columbia, MO with a 400-seat Equity theatre right smack in the middle. It's definitely worth the 2.5 hour drive from St. Louis to see the town and a great show. Tickets and more info can be found by clicking here .

Casting News! Last fall's production of "Cotton Patch Gospel" at the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre is being remounted at Manchester United Methodist Church in St. Louis, October 9-11. The entire original cast is returning for this one weekend only! Tickets can be purchased here .

Also, Ben will be appearing in Mustard Seed Theatre's production of "All Is Calm", running November 27 through December 20. Tickets and info can be found here .

Ben recently appeared in "Whisper", a short film that competed in the St. Louis 48-Hour Film Project . In addition to winning Best Film (yay!) at the festival, "Whisper" also won Best Writing for Alec Wild and Steve Isom, Best Ensemble Acting, Best Musical Score for Steven James Neale , and Best Actress for Shanara Gabrielle . In late April, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Go! Magazine named Ben St. Louis' Most Versatile Actor in their "Best Of St. Louis" edition. Thanks Go!

Ben was also honored to receive the St. Louis Theater Circle Award for Outstanding Actor in a Musical earlier this year. Thanks Theater Circle!

Casting News! In addition to appearing in "Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story" July 13-19 at the Muny, Ben will also be seen in the Muny's production of "Oklahoma" running August 10-16.

Ben will be a part of Ignite!, the new play festival at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. Come check out a reading of the new play, "The Full Catastrophe", by acclaimed playwright, Michael Weller, on Wednesday, March 25 at 7pm. Tickets and info here .

Casting News! Ben is excited to return to the Muny in "Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story" June 13-19.

Also, Ben has been cast in "Abundance" at Dramatic License . The production runs October 30 - November 15.

Ben has received two nominations from the St. Louis Theater Circle Awards for his work in "Reality" at HotCity Theatre and "How To Succeed…" at Stages St. Louis. Congratulations to all of the nominees! You can read more here .

AND, Ben will be debuting his latest cabaret, "Living In The Moment", on March 13 and 14 at the Gaslight Theatre. "Living In The Moment" is part of the Gaslight Cabaret Festival presented by The Presenters Dolan. The show will be directed by Ethan Edwards and music directed by Neal Richardson. Ben's private students have had some pretty cool successes lately! Two different students each recently booked their first film roles and another student was just cast in The Sound of Music at Kansas City Starlight. Congratulations guys!

A lot has been going on! Over the weekend, Ben inaugurated the brand new Samuel Goldstein Performance Hall with his solo cabaret, "Ben There, Done That", which played to an enthusiastic sold-out audience. Stay tuned for the announcement of an encore performance this spring. Also, Ben just recorded a ridiculous radio-spot for Missouri Lotto. That sound file should be up on the site soon. Many projects are in the pipeline for 2014. Ben's production of "The Tempest" at Villa Duchesne High School opens March 6. In late March, Ben will be seen in a reading of the new musical, "Georama", at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis' new play festival, Ignite! . On April 4, Ben will once again emcee the St. Louis Teen Talent Showcase at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. Other casting news to be announced soon!

Busy Holiday season! Last week Ben shot a short industrial film for the Dept of Veterans Affairs and a funny commercial for West County Nissan. Ben has also been hired to direct Eat Your Heart Out by Courtney Baron for R-S Theatrics in Nov/Dec 2014. Also, Ben will be appearing as the Narrator in Peter and the Wolf, a co-production between the St. Louis Symphony and Stages St. Louis in Feb 2014.

Bless my soul! Ben is appearing as a young, conflicted priest in an original new comedy by Dan Rubin with Onsite Theatre called The Trivia Job. This site specific piece features an awesomely holy cast and is directed by the sacred Anna Pileggi. Come play in a real trivia night and see a hilarious play at the same time! Ben is excited to help out the New Jewish Theatre with their benefit cabaret fundraiser, "Jews On Broadway - Mostly" on September 21, 2013. He's the "Mostly" part. He'll be doing a solo set alongside Johanna Elkana-Hale, Linda Kennedy, April Strelinger, and Tim Schall with the gorgeous Steve Neale at the piano. Click here for tickets and more info.

Ben has two one-night only appearances coming up in St. Louis, MO.

The first is "Nordstrom & Neale", a benefit cabaret for Villa Duchesne High School on Saturday, March 23. He will be teaming up again with his good friend and piano impresario, the follicly challenged Steve Neale. Click on the Villa link for ticketing info.

On April 12, Ben will once again channel his best Ryan Seacrest as he emcees the "St. Louis Teen Talent Competition" at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. Fancy judges include Ken Page, Phyllis Smith, and Mike Issacson. Visit the Fox's website for more info.

Ben will return to Stages St. Louis in July and August for their production of "Legally Blonde" in the role of Emmett. This marks Ben's first show back at Stages since leaving St. Louis and he's very excited to return home and play with so many friends!

Next month, Ben will head out to Denver, CO to play Freddy in the hilarious musical, "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels". The show will play at the Arvada Center for the Arts Sept 11-30. It will then move to the Lone Tree Arts Center from Oct 4-14.

On August 13, Ben will return to St. Louis for "Putting It Together ", a one night only benefit performance for Stages St. Louis. He is honored to be sharing the stage with his dear friends, Casey Erin Clark and Jack Lane. Click above for more info.

Ben will be singing in the concert reading of "Stealing Time", an original song cycle by Tor Hyams and Lisa Neubauer. Performances are July 15th and 16th and are a part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival. Go here for tickets and more info.

Ben is off to Raleigh, North Carolina to appear in the farce "Boeing Boeing" in the role of Bernard. He will be appearing at Hot Summer Nights at the Kennedy from 6.13 to 6.24.

On April 27, Ben will return to the Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis to emcee the 2nd annual St. Louis Teen Talent Showcase . Guest judges include Tony Award winner, Ken Page, and "The Office" star, Phyllis Smith.

Ben's episode of "A Gifted Man" will air on Friday, 2.17 on CBS at 8pm.

In March, Ben will return to St. Louis for two benefit cabaret performances with his good friend, Steve Neale. "Nordstrom & Neale" will appear on March 9 to benefit Villa Duchesne's Performing Arts programs and on March 10 to benefit Growing American Youth . Check back for more details.
